A Rapid City man who has seen and done it all, can now add another memory to all that he has accomplished.
In the home he built more than 40 years ago, Stan Lieberman is celebrating his 97th birthday Thursday.
He’s beat many odds to be here, including surviving the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Rapid City Flood of 1972; and numerous children, grandchildren and great grand-children.
Stan credits his good health to staying active and working with his hunting dogs, who he still trains everyday.
When asked what the secret to living a long life is, Stan says get involved and being part of the community, "I got into the rodeo, I got into kids, teaching them hunters safety, baseball. I get involved in more things and now I’m involved in staying alive I guess."Stan also has ties to KOTA-TV that go back many years, having served as a salesman in the early days of television.
