SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A woman faces vehicular battery and her ninth drunken driving charge in a crash that seriously injured two people.
KELO-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1wsdgLl ) that 56-year-old Cynthia Goeman pulled out in front of 24-year-old Quintin McMartin's motorcycle at about 2 a.m. Sunday.
The crash left the former University of South Dakota football star with life-threatening injuries.
McMartin's passenger, 21-year-old Michelle Tarian, fractured her skull in the crash.
Authorities say Goeman had just left a bar before the crash.
Court records show she has a spate drunken driving arrests dating back about 25 years. Her most recent drunk driving conviction was in 2011 when she went to jail for nearly six months and had her license taken away for a year.
Goeman is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
