Michelle Lintz retires after 28 years at CVB

By Barrett Phillips

Michelle Lintz, executive director of Rapid City's Convention and Visitors Bureau for the past 28 years, will work her last day July 25 and officially retire the 28th.
Lintz first started as the sales director for the bureau, but after a couple of months she became assistant director under Juli Jensen. Then when Jensen retired Lintz took over as executive director. Lintz has been executive director for 18 years.

Governor Dennis Daugaard said Lintz has continuously promoted Rapid City, the Black Hills and South Dakota as a travel destination and is a "strong and well respected leader."

"It's very humbling. It makes me very proud not to only be part of the industry but to be part of rapid city and the state of South Dakota," Lintz said.
