Bird walk planned at DeSoto Wildlife Refuge

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Nature lovers can get a chance to see a variety of birds in the wild at a bird walk later this month.

The DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge is planning to host the bird walk on Saturday at 8 a.m.

Bird watchers of all experience levels are encouraged to meet at the visitor center for the event.

DeSoto sits north of Omaha, Nebraska, along U.S. Highway 30 between Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Blair, Nebraska.

An entrance fee of $3 is required for all vehicles unless someone holds a $15 annual permit.
