Antique store moves into Global Market location

A new business now sits where Rapid City's Global Market has been for years.

Johnson Creek Antiques used to be on Saint Joseph Street, but has relocated to Main Street. Sandy Hjort, owner, says she wanted to be on Main Street because of the events.

The antique store opened July 3 and offers things like furniture, western books, collectibles and jewelry. Hjort says her products must pass a strict inspection and she does not sell things "made in China."
