YMCA's legendary mustache is no more

By Barrett Phillips

The YMCA started a social media campaign "save it" or "shave it" in order to get more social media followers. Roger Gallimore, executive director of the YMCA, volunteered his mustache to be on the line.

After having the stache for 36 years, he earned the title "Captain Mustache". But now, Gallimore needs a new title since the votes came in and "shave it" won by 10 votes.

Gallimore said he can't even recognize himself. "Who's that? I looked at the picture and said who's that, because that sure isn't me. I've been looking at this mustache for thirty six years and now I can't even recognize myself," Gallimore said.

The final count was 202 to "keep it" and 212 to "shave it".
