Neighbors in Rapid Valley clean up Independence debris

Every Fourth of July holiday, Rapid Valley seems to be the place to go when you want to set off your fireworks. And usually the crowds leave a big mess behind. But that seems to have changed somewhat this year.

The streets in Rapid Valley are all cleaned up. One man said there were several big piles left behind after Friday night. But the next morning, he and his neighbors pitched in to clean up the mess. A man in another area said there wasn't as much trash this year as in previous years.

Rapid Valley garners attention since fireworks are banned in Rapid City.
