South Dakota's holiday gas prices a little steep

If you think you're paying more at the pump, you're right!

The average retail gasoline prices in South Dakota have risen just under a penny a gallon in the past week. Yesterday, according to Gasbuddy's daily survey of 628 gas outlets in the state, the average price of a gallon is $3.56.

This compares with the national average of $3.68, which has not moved in the last week.

In Wyoming, the average price for a gallon of unleaded is $3.58, up 3 cents from last week.

Analysts say although gas prices will level off, it will still be the most expensive July 4 at the pump since 2008.
