Catholic parishes come together to build Habitat for Humanity home

Posted:

A KOTA Territory family is celebrating a huge milestone, thanks to a little hard work of their own and the community.

Christine Reddell, Travis Shepard and their daughter Genevieve received the keys to their new home on Patton Street.

This is the 88th house "Habitat for Humanity" has helped build or remodel in the area and the fourth house dedicated this year.

The Reddell–Shepard's new home is the result of their hard sweat and several volunteers from 5 local catholic parishes.

To qualify for a Habitat for Humanity home, each applicant must donate 250 hours of "sweat equity."
