South Dakota was battered by storms Tuesday; tornadoes as well as floods.

A tornado damaged at least one farm near Humboldt, in southeast South Dakota.  Ed Begeman lost his shed and farm equipment.  Begeman's home wasn't damaged but he says his neighbor, a quarter mile down the road, wasn't so lucky.

The tornado touched down around 10:30 p.m. on his property southeast of Humboldt, which is about 20 miles west of Sioux Falls.

The Weather Service believes it was an EF-2 tornado, on the ground for 18 minutes, with winds peaked at 125 mph.

East River, the flooding is serious enough for major roads to be closed and the governor to call out the National Guard to help.  Gov. Dennis Daugaard activated more than 120 soldiers to assist in flood response in southeast South Dakota.  Water levels along the Big Sioux River have been rising since Tuesday's storm.
