Rapid City man pleads not guilty to murder

The 28-year-old Rapid City man who is charged in the beating death of a man and the assault of two other people pled not guilty Monday morning. Daryl Espinosa is facing a mandatory life sentence for the second degree murder of Lars Greeley, 59, on May 15.

Police say Espinosa beat Greeley to death at an apartment building near the Rapid City Public Library on Quincy Street. He is also facing two counts of aggravated assault for hurting two others with a knife when they tried to intervene.
He is in jail. Bond is set at a half million dollars.
