Black Hills American Red Cross chapter to aid in President Obama's visit

Posted:
President Obama will visit the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in North Dakota Friday.

He's expected to announce a series of new jobs and education initiatives designed to assist Native Americans.

The President said he hoped to meet with both young Native Americans and tribal leaders about the success and challenges they face every day.

This is the first visit by a sitting president to Indian Country since 1999, when Bill Clinton visited the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

Workers with the Black Hills Chapter of the American Red Cross will be providing a First Aid/Hydration Station during the President's visit.
