Hearing pending for Rapid City man accused of assaulting police

Posted:
A date for an evidentiary hearing is pending for a Rapid City man accused of four counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement officers.

In the mean time, Seventh Circuit Court Judge Jeff Davis set another status hearing for Travis Ross for June 16.

Ross had a blood alcohol level of .19 when he allegedly pointed a weapon at officers.

Ross was shot by police last June following a high speed pursuit. The chase started in Rapid City and ended near New Underwood.

If convicted of aggravated assault and the other charges, Ross faces up to 200 years in prison.
