A KOTA Territory community foundation rewarded more than a dozen organizations for making a difference in the community.
The Black Hills Area Community Foundation donated $50,000 worth of “Quality of Life" grants to 13 agencies including Youth and Family Services, Feeding South Dakota and more.
The organization selected the agencies based on their plans to make positive improvements in the community by the end of the year.
"These organizations are leaders in the respective areas. We hope that these grants will help elevate the importance of the mission and their work in the community." BHACF Chairman Kitty Kinsman said.
This is the first year the foundation awarded these grants, and they hope to continue for years to come.
