Daugaard wins GOP primary

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) _ South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard breezed to a Republican primary victory in his bid for a second full term in office.
He topped lesser-known challenger former state Rep. Lora Hubbel, of Sioux Falls.
Daugaard took a low-key approach to his primary race, airing few television ads highlighting some of his accomplishments.
With no major opponent, Daugaard didn't have to dig deep into the $1.6 million he has amassed in his re-election campaign account.
The 60-year-old governor previously spent eight years as former Gov. Mike Rounds' lieutenant governor.
Daugaard in November will face the winner of the Democratic primary.
