NeighborWorks moves in its 1,000th family

NeighborWorks the non profit organization reaches a miles stone and another KOTA Territory family gets a new home.

NeighborWorks assists families in finding affordable housing. The organization is celebrating its 1,000th family moving into a new home.

Kelly Anderson, the new homeowner and mother of two, says her apartment was too small and it was hard for her son who is in wheelchair to get around.
Both organizers and Anderson are excited about this new home.
Joy McCracken, executive director of NeighborWorks, says they are looking forward to helping more families get into homes. "That's a huge mile stone for us and we are going to work hard on getting the next 1,000 families into homes," said McCracken.
Anderson says she is thankful for everyone who was involved in this process. "All the organizers that have helped put it together have been awesome and spectacular and I couldn't have done it without them," said Anderson. "I owe them a lot."
Anderson says she is looking forward to gardening in her new backyard.
