Motorcycle crash on Highway 16 sends two to the hospital

An accident on Highway 16 around 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning sends two to the hospital.
According to troopers with the South Dakota Highway Patrol, bikers were out riding when they slowed down to enter a gas station near Putz n Glo.The male driver of a motorcycle didn't realize the other bikers were slowing, and he swerved to avoid hitting his fellow riders.

He and his female passenger were taken to Rapid City Regional Hospital. Both weren't wearing a helmet. He seems to be in better condition than she does, but the full extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.
Trooper Nicholas Allen says accidents are more common as the weather warms up because more people are out on the road.
Drivers need to be careful and watch for bikers.
