Rapid City woman gets prison time following Dr. Phil Show appearance

Posted:
A Rapid City woman, on probation for forgery and insurance fraud, is headed back to prison because she chose to ignore a judge's orders and leave town to be on the Dr. Phil Show.

Mandi Jackson, 38,will spend at least another year in prison for the violation.  Judge Robert Mandel made it clear to Jackson that he was not impressed with her decision to air her family's grievances on national television.

Jackson said she appeared on the show to try to save her family after her 17-year-old daughter claimed her stepfather, Chris Jackson, had molested her.
Psychologist Phil McGraw's questioning revealed the claim was not true.
