Rapid City School District to issue report cards electronically

By Barrett Phillips

Rapid City Area Schools are providing parents with the opportunity to receive report cards electronically.

This method will allow parents to check on their children's grades via computer, smart phone, or any other device that connects to the internet.

Nancy Williams, Business Analyst of Rapid City Area Schools, said there are a lot of positives.

"This is just one more step toward being environmentally friendly, saving money for the district and the tax payers, and just moving into the modern age; where people are on their computers or smart phones and they want to receive this information immediately," said Williams.

Current grades are not the only thing you can keep track of electronically, grades will be stored, giving parents the ability to look up grades from the past. This will allow parents to keep up with how their child is trending.

If you do not want to eceive repreceiverds electronically you will still automatically receive them in the mail.
