The man charged with Rapid City's first murder of the year was in court on Tuesday. Daryl Espinosa, 28, was arrested Friday and heard his charges on Tuesday.

Judge Shawn Pahlke set bond at $500,000 Espinosa, who is charged with the second degree murder of Lars Greeley, 59, at an apartment complex. Espinosa is also charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

The judge also issued a series of conditions for Espinosa, including a no contact order for the two assault victims.

If convicted Espinosa faces a mandatory life sentence with no possibility of parole. No preliminary hearing has been set.
