Bond reduced for Rapid City man charged with kidnapping

Posted:
A new bond is set for a Rapid City man charged with two counts of kidnapping.

The attorney for 28-year-old Joshua Peacock says that his client has been sober for seven months. Peacock will live with his grandmother if he is able to pay a lower bond. Prosecutors objected a bond reduction saying peacock is a threat to himself and the community.

Seventh Circuit Judge Robert Gusinsky agreed to reduce the amount from $350,000 to $150,000.

Peacock will next appear in court on June 17. His attorney says at that time they'll be ready to discuss a trial date.
