Poker run honors veterans in Spearfish

Posted:
Veterans and non-vets honored the Armed Forces Saturday with a poker run.
Around 60 bikers started at the tournament at Dakota V-Twin in Spearfish and ended at Cousin's Big Chair in Deadwood. The idea - get a playing card at each stop along the way. The one with the best poker hand at the end, wins.

Event coordinators say since Saturday is national Armed Forces Day, the poker run is a way to honor veterans and raise money for the Armed Forces Foundation. It was $20 per hand in the poker run, with money also being raised at a silent auction and a raffle.
