The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Upper Midwest Chapter, hosted the 2014 Walk MS event Saturday in Rapid City. Participants could choose a one or three mile route. They could walk or run individually, or in a team.
Russ Arnold, Walk MS ambassador, says around 200 people came out. While the total fundraising goal isn't known yet, Arnold says the event could raise around $25,000.
The money raised supports programs and services for more than 17,000 people and their families with MS in the Upper Midwest Chapter.
Dollars also go to cutting edge research to stop the disease in it's tracks, restore lost function, and end MS forever.
