Starting Strong receives funds to continue early Ed. for three more years

Posted:
The Starting Strong early education program in KOTA Territory is a success.  At their annual breakfast Thursday morning, Starting Strong chairperson Judy Duhamel, announced that Starting Strong is no longer a pilot program. "The John T. Vucurevich Foundation has awarded Starting Strong funds that will allow us to continue the program for three more years," Duhamel said.

For the past two years, 60 children in Rapid City, who qualify as low income, have received grants to go to a pre-school, using proven early education methods.

There are six sites, so parents are able to choose which school best fits their needs.  Meantime, the other children at these pre-school sites are receiving a quality early education program.
