Posted:
The eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 from Exit 17 at Spearfish to Sturgis were temporarily blocked Tuesday morning due to a semi accident.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for parts of western South Dakota/Black Hills and several highways in western and southern South Dakota have no travel advisories from snow packed & slippery roads and freezing slush.

People who must travel today are asked to drive with caution and are encouraged to visit www.safetravelusa.com/sd or dial 511 to check the latest road conditions and any travel advisories.

Motorists are also reminded to carry a winter emergency kit and a charged cell phone in their vehicle.
