Cabbage Almond Salad

1 head cabbage (preferably red)
1 c almonds, sliced and roasted
1 pear, julienne


1 TB honey
1 TB soy sauce
2 TB lime juice
6 TB olive oil
1 TB sesame oil
garlic powder
1 TB minced shallot
salt and pepper

To make dressing, combine honey, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic powder, shallots and pepper in a bowl. While whisking constantly, stream in sesame oil and the olive oil until a thick dressing is formed. Toss the cabbage in a generous amount of dressing and garnish with almonds and pear.
