Kyle man pleads guilty in drunk driving accident


A Kyle man charged with killing his passenger in a drunk driving accident pled guilty Friday morning.
In a deal with the state, Jimmy Pilcher, 36, pled guilty to vehicular homicide, eluding and DUI.

In exchange for his guilty, plea the state agreed to argue for no more than 25 years. The defense can ask for less time, there is a 10 year mandatory minimum.

Pilcher was running from police when the crash happened in October, 2013.
Prosecutors say Pilcher caused the crash on East North and Spruce Streets that killed his passenger Tamara Hunter, she was 40 years old.
