Organizations in Deadwood have anted up to fund additional efforts by tourism consultant Roger Brooks. As the next phase in Deadwood’s Revitalization efforts, Brooks and his team will return to Deadwood this summer to conduct interviews and sessions geared toward developing strategies to increase tourism and business in the Black Hills community.
Mayor Chuck Turbiville signed Deadwood’s Branding, Product Development and Marketing Action Plan with Roger Brooks International Thursday.
“I am pleased that we will have Roger Brooks returning in May to conduct branding interviews,” said Deadwood Mayor Chuck Turbiville. “I want to extend my thank-you to all of the Deadwood organizations who selflessly came together for the future of the City of Deadwood.”
The mayor also thanked all those in the community who have participated in Deadwood Revitalization’s community meetings and Roger Brook’s town hall presentations. “I look forward to furthering our work with Roger Brooks and encourage everyone to attend future Roger Brooks’ meetings. We welcome your input.”

Deadwood is ready and looks forward to rolling up our sleeves and digging into the next very important phase with Roger Brooks by participating in the ‘Brand Camp.’ I echo the Mayor’s gratitude to everyone in the community who has worked so hard to positively shape Deadwood’s future.”
