Cold, wet snow across KOTA Territory has created many challenges for people trying to do daily tasks. And while some grow frustrated with the weather, others say its just a part of living in KOTA Territory.
Jon Holsworth, a sports representative at Dakota Sports says he is tired of this weather and shoveling snow out in front of where he works. "We shoveled two days ago and now we're doing it again, more snow this time, it's just really frustrating," said Holsworth. "I'm sure everyone is tired of it, just hoping the spring gets here fast and it stops snowing."
Jenny Wordeman, who was out running errands, says she could use a little more spring weather as well. "I think everybody is anxious for the spring, you see the green grass poking through," said Wordeman. "It's April, it's been a long cold winter and everybody is just ready for it."
Wordeman says patience is key. "It's reality where we live, it can be so diverse," said Wordeman. "I think living in South Dakota you have to be just a little more patient."
Les Ferris, a landscaper of Rippletree Landscaping was shoveling sidewalks Wednesday. He says shoveling snow while they wait for better weather keeps him busy. "I don't like the snow but it keeps me busy," said Ferris. "It's already spring time right now but we're getting snow, I can't wait for it to get done so we can start landscaping," said Ferris.
