Rapid City Councilman Jerry Wright wants to make sure the full city council understands the status of the long-delayed President's Plaza project.
At Wednesday's Legal and Finance Committee meeting, Wright requested the Mayor to provide a report on the existing developer's agreement.
Last month, developers terminated a proposal that would have infused $5 million into the project to increase the number of overall parking spaces. It would have also moved up the start-date.
But a probe about profitability from city leaders, namely Mayor Sam Kooiker, soured the deal.
While developers still plan to forge ahead with the original project minus the extra parking, Wright wants to make sure everyone is on the same page.
Rapid City has invested $2.8 million in the project in the form of Vision Funds.
