Charges have been dismissed against a Rapid City man accused of shooting his step father in October of 2013.
As part of a plea bargain, 18-year-old Francisco Bordier pleaded guilty Tuesday to a class 4 felony, possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine. In exchange, the state dropped an aggravated assault charge.
Bordier shot his step-father during a heated argument at the Budget Host Inn in Rapid City on Oct. 25. He fled the scene but was found later by the Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team a house on Space Avenue.
He faces a maximum sentence of 10 years and will serve a minimum of a year behind bars.
He is in custody at the Pennington County Jail with a $4999 cash only bond.
He is due back in court May 6th.
