So far in March, Rapid City has received 11 inches of snow. That is almost three inches above average.

On Saturday morning, residents throughout most of KOTA–Territory woke up to cold, snow, and slick roads once again.

With temperatures well below freezing, downtown Rapid City received an inch and a half of the fluffy white stuff; while the airport east of town received just more than an inch.

Rapid City's total snow fall this year is 61 inches. This sets a record at almost twice the average.
