The cleanup at the Stardust Motel following a fire earlier this week is coming along quickly. In fact, all of the residents who were evacuated are back at the motel.
According to motel owner, John Ashley, the forty people who were evacuated were transferred to the Motel 6 on Lacrosse Street. By the next afternoon, all of the residents were back.
Ashley says there are already crews working to cleanup the room and hallway that were heavily damaged. He credits the Rapid City Fire Department with the quick turnaround. "They did a great job," He said.
The cause is still under investigation.
