Mischief at Dinosaur Park

By Barrett Phillips

Obscene drawings were found on most of the dinosaurs on Dinosaur Hill, where children often play and families spend quality time together.

As of Monday, most of the drawings were painted over. The Acuna family, visitors of the park, said if they would have seen the drawings, they would have felt uncomfortable and most likely would not be coming back.

"We would definitely be uncomfortable playing on the smaller dinosaurs; and sometimes you just look past it and it's just there, but you just look past it," said Bret Acuna.

"We probably wouldn't come back if someone had not painted over them. Just because we want this to be a nice whole family fun place and that's why we decided to come up here," said Candra Acuna.

The Rapid City Police and Parks Department are investigating the incident.
