A Rapid City teacher needs your votes to help her class win a grant aimed at helping less fortunate students.
Cindy Jesseph, a 2nd grade teacher at Horace Mann Elementary submitted a proposal to the "Thank A Million Teachers" program put on by Farmers Insurance.
Thirty educators across the country will be awarded a $2,500 grant.
More than 1,200 teachers applied for the grants, but Jesseph's proposal would benefit children from lower income homes, "The grant is for a nice amount of money that would help with things in the classroom, things for the kids beyond what the school provides, for instance, clothing, school supplies, and food," said Jesseph.
The public can vote for Jesseph's class through March 31st online at thankamillionteachers.com.
The winners will be announced in April.
