Rapid City man arraigned for alleged crimes related to recent Amber Alert

A Rapid City man charged with kidnapping his kids and beating their mother was arraigned in Seventh Circuit Court on Monday morning.

Skye Burnham-Endicott, 27, pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault, first-degree kidnapping, and second-degree kidnapping charges.

He faces up to life in prison for the first degree kidnapping charges.

Between February 12th and 13th prosecutors say Endicott kicked, stabbed and strangled the mother of his children, kidnapped the two babies, and threatened to kill them.

Authorities issued an Amber Alert that was canceled in less than an hour when police stormed an apartment complex and found the children unharmed.

Endicott remains in the Pennington County Jail on $500,000 bond.
