The man who was shot by a State Highway Patrol trooper following a chase on Interstate 90 changes his plea to guilty.
William Chandler, 27, pled guilty to aggravated eluding for running from troopers in September after they tried to pull him over on Interstate 90. He also pled guilty to one count of aggravated assault and one count of attempted first degree escape.
In exchange, the State dropped the remaining aggravated assault charges and a grand theft charge from an incident in August. Prosecutors say after he was arrested for leading troopers on a pursuit, he escaped, stole a squad car, and then tried to run over law enforcement officers before he was shot.
Chandler will be sentenced on April 10th. He faces 65 years behind bars.
