A Montana man who raped a 12-year-old Rapid City girl was sentenced for his crime Friday.
Seventh Circuit Judge Thomas Trimble sentenced Edward Mcintosh, 30, to 15 years in prison.
Mcintosh pled guilty to repeatedly raping the child when he was visiting family in Rapid City in August and then again in November. As part of a plea deal, the state dropped the second rape charge.
Mcintosh told Judge Trimble last month the two "shared a bed and one thing led to another."
The victim's aunt spoke and told Mcintosh that the girl can't sleep, is having trouble at school and is on a number of medications as a result of the rape.
He will be eligible for parole in 11 years, when he's 41 years old.
