MINOT, N.D. (AP) _ Some B-52 bombers at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota will be temporarily housed at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota while runway upgrades are completed at the Minot base.

The Minot Daily News reports that the center section of the base runway is being upgraded this year, at a cost of nearly $33 million. It's the final part of a three-year runway project that carries a $67 million price tag and should wrap up in early October.

Ellsworth Air Force Base near Rapid City is home to B-1 bombers.
