Members of the Chapel Valley Lane Home Owners Association met with Rapid City's Public Works Department Tuesday to try resolving some issues with Serendipity Lane.
Association president, Ron Bunnell says the city used to plow and sand the road in the 1980's and 1990's but has stopped.
The city claims that Serendipity Lane is not part of the city, calling it a private lane.
Bunnell says the association doesn't own it either but homeowners do pay city taxes.
He says it's a dangerous situation.
"Yesterday we had a garbage truck that slid all the way down the street, all the way across Chapel Lane, and into a car in front of a house on the other side of the street," said Bunnell
The full city council will meet Monday to decide if sanding will resume on Serendipity Lane.
