It's been almost one year since construction on East North Street in Rapid City began, but in just a couple short weeks, the final phase to repair the busy road will get underway.
Construction managers first wanted to meet with business and land owners to clarify what remaining work has to be done. This includes the south side of East North Street between Pine and Racine Streets.
People who travel by foot can also expect new sidewalks.
Construction Manager for Upper Plains, Brett Ludewig says the project was supposed to be done in 2013 but mother nature delayed them for quite some time.
"We lost a lot of time to the storms last fall which kind of pushed us back late in the year," said Ludewig. "And we're going to finish this year."
Construction on phase four of East North begins March 10th, and is expected to be finished by the end of May.
