Do we take enough time choosing our financial advisor?
Jeff Partridge, financial advisor with Partridge Financial, says looking for an advisor who is comprehensive and independent is the best route. That way, you will not risk being sold a specific insurance or estate plan.
He says choosing someone who respects your values and interests is key in developing a productive relationship.
"I think a good financial advisor will listen to you and understand what goals and objectives you're trying to achieve. Upon hearing you, that advisor will help you take action," said Partridge.
Partridge says trustworthiness, experience and knowledge are all key skills to look for when choosing a financial advisor.
