There are many ways to spend Valentine's weekend and some took the opportunity to hike the Lover's Leap Trail at Custer State Park. Friends, families and couples had a chance to experience the Black Hills in the winter.
And while some indulge in chocolate and champagne for Valentine's others chose a 4 mile hike that took about 3 hours to complete.
Nicole Beardsley is sharing a new experience with her baby Carson. "This is a new adventure for my son and I. He is five months only and this would be his 2nd hike in the hills," said Beardsley.
Ann Sperry, who led the group says that it is important for people to get out of the house especially in the winter. "To get out in the winter time, it's very emotionally up–lifting, get out of the cabin, cabin fever is bad," said Sperry.
Custer State Park will host a snowshoe hike on March 1st at 1 p.m. at Sylvan Lake.
