After 15 years serving Deadwood, one member of the Deadwood Chamber is stepping down.
George Milos, Chamber director, says he's looking forward to a new chapter in his life. He plans on staying in Deadwood, but says 'stay tuned!' for what exactly he'll be doing next.
With his director career spanning more than a decade, Milos has plenty of favorite memories. But his favorite accomplishment is getting the money to bring Big & Rich, among other bands, to come to Deadwood years ago. "And CMT filmed a one hour special 'Big & Rich Alive in Deadwood,' and it aired on CMT about fifty times and really brought exposure to the area," said Milos.
The Chamber is in the process of searching for a new director. Milos will resign in May.
