Neighbors react to missing children

The scene Thursday morning at the Knollwood  apartment complex was one that many of us only see play out in movies. Police scrambling around, dogs trying to pick up the scent of a criminal and at the end of it all the bad guy is taken away in handcuffs.

For neighbors living near the scene of the crime, this time it wasn't actors, it was real.

The man responsible for the incident, 27 year old Skye Burnham–Endicott, also known as Eddie Little.

Police say he beat his girlfriend and told her he was going to drown their two young children who are one year old and one month old.

Roughly nine hours later police found him along with the two children both of whom were returned safely to their mother.

Stevie Noisy Hawk, who lives near the apartment where Little was found, said at first she didn't know what was going on but knew it had to be bad with all the police. "It is scary and that's what I said last night," said Noisy Hawk. "I couldn't sleep not knowing what happened because of all the cops and I could see them taking pictures in there. All the bright flashes from the camera I figured it had to be pretty bad if they were there for over three to four hours."

Noisy Hawk along with other neighbors said they were just happy that the children ended up being safe.
