Stevens High School marches for Allied Arts

By Barrett Phillips

The Stevens High School drum line helped kick-off the 2014 Allied Arts Fund drive at Main Street Square Tuesday.

The students marched around the square beginning at 11:30 a.m. Speakers followed on the main stage emphasizing the importance of arts in the community.

"We would like to ask for the business community and art enthusiast to help us with that mission, so that the arts can go on to provide exceptional programming events for the Black Hills and surrounding communities," said GiGi Lage, Executive Director.

The mission of the Allied Arts Fund is to provide funding for 11 arts organizations in Rapid City.
