Companies search for qualified students at WDT Career Fair

State, local, and national employers converged on the campus of Western Dakota Technical Institute (WDT) Wednesday looking to hire qualified graduates.

The 17th Annual Career Fair is an opportunity for students to show off their skills and abilities to potential employers, according to Career Services Coordinator Curt Lauinger.

Forty-five companies and organizations registered for Wednesday's event. They focused on full-time, part-time and even internship opportunities.

Potential employer, Jon Ness from RFA Engineering said WDT has a good pool of applicants that have the training he's looking for.  "WDT is particularly well suited to work with industry. They've paid attention to what industry needs and they've done a good job partnering with the industry to tailor the training for what we're looking for."

More than 98 percent of WDT's recent graduates are working.
