Rapid City Police: Running vehicles make easy targets of theft

Several vehicles were stolen Tuesday in Rapid City.

Police Lt. Don Hedrick says some of the drivers were easy targets because they left their vehicles running due to cold weather.

One vehicle was spotted by Pennington County Sheriff's Deputies and a pursuit was initiated after the vehicle failed to stop but he pursuit was terminated due to high speeds.

One person was arrested when he was spotted looking into windows of vehicles.

Brandon Suess, 28, of New Castle, Wyoming faces Simple Assault and Resisting Arrest charges.
