SD congressional delegation reacts to Obama speech

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) _ The Republican members of South Dakota's congressional delegation say President Barack Obama should strive more to work with Congress.
Obama said in his State of the Union speech that he will act on his own if lawmakers won't cooperate on such things as creating new jobs.
Sen. John Thune says Obama in his speech ``failed to mention common sense, bipartisan measures.'' And Rep. Kristi Noem says the president working with Congress is ``a better starting point than an executive order.''
Democratic Sen. Tim Johnson says he thinks Obama's speech had an optimistic tone and ``laid out solid proposals for helping the middle class.''
