Bond remains the same for Rapid City man charged with rape

Bond remains at $50,000 for a young Rapid City man accused of raping a child.  Tuesday morning, the attorney for Blake Klynsma, 26, asked the court to lower her client's bond saying he is not a flight risk, and is not dangerous. Jamey Patterson also alleges that the victim in the case is not credible.

The state maintains that Klynsma is dangerous. According to Deputy State's Attorney Scott Roetzel, Klynsma admitted he hurt the girl, who was between 10 and 11 years old at the time of the alleged rape. Roetzel also says two more possible victims have come to light since the allegation was made.

Seventh Circuit Judge Robert Gusinsky denied a bond reduction, citing the seriousness of the charges.
